Took my dog to Palm Springs and it was 112 out!!! Bought this vest for when I had to take her out for quick mid day potty breaks. I wet it and kept in in the fridge. Worked great!!! Amazing material and quality and reflective too, perfect for late night potty breaks at the cottage.
If you need at-home referencing and your dogs wear apparel from Canada Pooch, the sizing seems to be very similar.

We are so happy we found this cooling vest & grateful for the excellent customer service that reviewed the sizing based on measurements. I originally ordered S but customer service reached out recommending XS, our dog is hard to fit due to that Boston Terrier barrel chest but he's petite at 13 lbs. with a back length of 14 ish. The xs arrived and fits him perfectly. The best itself definitely helps keep him cooler during the very hot & humid late summer days of Virginia. Bonus is he looks adorable. People stop us to ask about his vest & when they learn it's a cooling vest, they are in awe as I was when I first found these. So glad to have it for our arsenal of summer fun. This is our third cooling vest because we love them so much! They work great for walks in the evenings when the heat has subsided slightly but the humidity is still so high. The medium fits our larger 28 lb Frenchie and the small works well for our 22 lb Frenchie! The tie dye pattern is so beautiful and vibrant! You have to get a matching leash and poo bag too! Our Frenchie definitely much cooler and comfortable when we get home from walkies around our downtown neighborhood while wearing this vest. Instead of drinking half a bowl of water and crashing in front of his favorite fan, he just wants to go right back out or play with his favorite toys for another half hour! So even though we're starting to cool into autumn temps here in Minnesota, we will happily zip into this next summer - it's well made so we're sure to get a lot of use out of it!
We really appreciate the harness straps built into this vest - it was why it was worth the pre-order wait for us. Our little man is unusually short through the body and broad through the chest, so the thought of buying a separate vest and then fitting a harness over it - something we do with his parka in winter time - was a bit frustrating. While in winter he's pretty much no-nonsense and hates being outside, in summer he likes to be out and greet everyone in our neighborhood. So this is more efficient for us.

This cooling vest is SO well made. It fits my dog perfectly and it’s thanks to the two rows of zipper, so you can adjust depending on your dog’s chunkiness. It’s very bright and colorful, the reflectors are great for visibility. We went on a 1.5 mile hike today with temperatures in the upper 80s and very high humidity, and the vest stayed wet and cool the entire team. I am sure that my baby girl would have seriously struggled on that hike without it. Definitely worth the money!

Love this cooling vest! The double zipper is clutch for my pup, who is a little in between sizes. My French Bulldogs love being outside, but I worry about them in the hot sun. With these vests on, they don’t even start panting because they are nice and cool :) Love the d-rings to attach a leash as well. I only wish there was a little more room in the neck- if the Velcro doesn’t close, the vest starts to unzip. Overall, great product and looks adorable too.

The cooling vest looks adorable, but more importantly, it really works! I took my French Bulldog on a park trail a few months ago, and he overheated (panted for a long time even when we got home, etc.)... We went again today on a day that was significantly hotter than the last time, but with the cooling vest he stopped panting immediately once we got back into the shade and we were able to complete the same trail as last time. I will absolutely make sure we have this vest with me every time we're outside in the heat.
Truman is now about 19 pounds (he's almost 6 months old) and the small fits him right now perfectly.

I live in Western Oregon and it we reached record high temperatures of 115 degrees this weekend!!! What a life saver this cooling vest was! Because our early morning and late evening lows hovered around 80 degrees, we NEEDED this cooling vest to keep our squishy faced pup cool even for short walks - and it worked like a dream! I was a little bit hesitant to purchase the cooling vest because my dog is not the biggest fan of going in water and I was concerned she would hate getting wet from wearing her vest but because it holds the water in the fabric, she didn't mind one bit. It definitely helped that the fit was perfect for her strange little body. Plus, she looked so cute, she was the talk of the block all weekend. I highly recommend getting a cooling vest to keep your pup cool this summer - after all, it's only getting hotter!

Love this cooling vest. Works perfectly. We just dampen it and put it in the fridge and then put it on her before being out in the heat. Holds water for well over an hour. Also love the fact it's a built in harness, so we don't have to have a harness underneath or on top of it.

Bubba loves his new cooling vest! He was getting so hot at the dog park and couldn't play as much as he wanted to. Once we got the vest for him, he was able to play more and stay cool and comfortable. It fits him well, the D-loop is great so we don't have to double up with a harness, and we have had so many compliments on the colour. Gus wears a small and I can honestly say it fits him like a glove and I love if he grows a bit more or wants a looser fit there is a second zipper to adjust the size. We’ve added water on-the-go, and put it in the freezer to pre-chill it more on hot times of the day. Definitely keeps our dog cooled down, with less panting.

A very well made adorable vest. My dog suffers from Lyme Disease that makes her overheated in the summer heat. I am hoping this vest will help keep her cool, since she does enjoy the outdoors so much. I love the vest! I live in Florida so this is must have for ALL English Bulldogs. The large was alittle too small for my girl so I upsized to a XL. She is only 57 lbs but she is stocky, her neck was a large but her chest was an XL but barely an XL. The vest is light soft and covers more of my dog than I expected. The hooks for the harness is well engineered and they're solid metal which I like for durability. Definitely another one if I get another EB!
